Cranleigh Abu Dhabi School enjoyed a wonderful evening with 700 of its newest family members on Saturday at Fanr Restaurant, Manarat Al Saadiyat.
Entertained by New York University’s Cello Choir our families were welcomed with delicious refreshments and canapes, prepared by Fanr Restaurant and the lawn area was beautifully set up with arts and crafts to keep the children busy! A Post it Collage wall was very popular, where everyone got the chance to get their creative juices flowing by creating a small work of art on a Post it. We hope to display this in our new school reception in September as a wonderful reminder! We saw some wonderful sock puppets, photo frames, drawings and jewellery, filling us with confidence about the artistic talents of our future pupils!
Brendan Law took to the stage to welcome the Cranleigh family together for the first time. He spoke passionately about his academic and pastoral vision for Cranleigh and updated families on the excellent progress we are making in all areas of the schools development.
With many of our Abu Dhabi based staff in attendance, it was a wonderful opportunity for families and children to meet and get to know their teachers!
We hope that this inaugural event show cased the style and success with which Cranleigh will continue! For a sense of the atmosphere of the evening see the photos below. We also have some very entertaining film footage, including some great interviews from the children themselves so, watch this space!
