We are proud to have been accredited with the Wellbeing Award for Schools from The National Children's Bureau following a rigorous inspection.
The Wellbeing Award for Schools supported our journey and authentic development of embedding wellbeing including mental health into our everyday practice at Cranleigh. The framework from the inspection gave us the opportunity to focus on a number of elements to ensure wellbeing and mental health wasn’t just an add on or deemed as one initiative.
We wholeheartedly believe that Wellbeing is as important as academics. It is intertwined within academics and the co-curricular life at Cranleigh. In formulating our Wellbeing Strategy, we listened to the voices, thoughts and feelings of our community to find out which way we should pave our wellbeing and mental health journey. It is not just for pupils, but also support and guidance for parents and staff in raising an awareness. They are the Educators, influences and roles models of our pupil body.
We aim to develop the whole child holistically this includes ensuring their wellbeing is of prime focus to enable them to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Wellbeing at Cranleigh is an every growing journey and we will continue to develop, adapt, amend and refine to ensure we stand by the importance of wellbeing and mental health for a successful educational journey.
